If you’ve printed any QR code in the last few years —on a shop window, on a letter, on packaging— chances are it no longer points to the page it pointed to when you printed it. Websites change URLs, campaigns expire, businesses redesign their sites. The QR, meanwhile, is still out there, walking customers into a 404.
That problem is what led us to build Falcon, and today we’re bringing it into the light: a URL shortener with styled QR codes and unified analytics, built in Spain, in Spanish and in English, and free to start.
The short link is the easy part
Anyone can shorten a URL. What nobody had fixed is what happens next:
- Your QR will live printed for years. Your website will change first. Result: codes out in the wild pointing at a 404, and nobody tells you.
- “Designed” QRs fail right when you’ve already printed. A pretty QR that doesn’t scan isn’t design; it’s a broken sign.
- Clicks live in one tool and scans in another. Two invoices, two dashboards, and neither tells the whole story.
Falcon exists to fix those three things at once.
What Falcon does
Dynamic QR: change the destination, not the code. Every Falcon QR points to your short link, not your website. If the destination changes, you edit it from the dashboard and the QR you already printed keeps working. This is the heart of the product.
QR Studio: if a design doesn’t scan, it doesn’t download. Colors, your logo, shapes and frames. Falcon validates scannability in real time: if a design doesn’t pass the check, it won’t let you download it. And if it passes, the Print Pack takes it straight to the printer: SVG, high resolution, a monochrome version and a guide for your designer.
Falcon Guard: life insurance for your QRs. Falcon checks your destinations regularly. If your page goes down or changes URL, we email you and you redirect without reprinting anything. Every link shows up in a health panel: healthy, degraded or dead, at a glance.
Unified analytics. Link clicks and QR scans in the same dashboard: geography, device, language and source. No exporting CSVs from two different tools to tell the same story.
And no friction to get started: your first link is created without an account. Your data is hosted in the EU, under GDPR.
Why we built it at Markova Labs
Markova Labs started out as consultancy: auditing software, automating processes, acting as a fractional CTO. Falcon is our third product of our own, and building it is the proof of what we sell: we don’t just advise on software, we build it and maintain it.
Besides, the gap was real. The big shorteners sell the full combo at enterprise prices; cheap QR generators have no serious analytics; and almost nobody serves the Spanish-speaking market well. Falcon takes that spot: link, styled QR and analytics in one panel, in your language.
How to try it
The free plan is already available: you create your first link without an account in under a minute. Paid plans are coming shortly for those who need more volume, custom domains and longer analytics history.
